Eyebrow piercing
at a glance

The eyebrow piercing usually sits vertically at the outer end of the eyebrow. It goes through the skin and the tissue beneath.

How I
pierce it

I place it to the side of the area where the nerves exit above the eye socket and mark both points. The piercing is done with a needle.

Jewellery

As initial jewellery I use a slightly curved bar made of Bioplast or titanium to ASTM F136.

When I
say no

If the skin at the spot is very taut, the risk of the piercing growing out increases. Then we discuss a different position.

Typical mistakes

Healing
and care

How to care for the piercing in each phase is explained in detail on the Care and aftercare page. The short version: sterile saline solution, don't twist, don't fiddle with it, be patient.

When to see a doctor

  • Redness and swelling keep increasing after the first few days.
  • Pus comes out, or you develop a fever.

Pain and healing time are guide values, averaged from information given by piercing and tattoo studios. Where the figures come from. Everyone feels and heals differently.
