Piercing guide › Intimate piercings › Frenum
The frenum sits in the skin on the underside of the shaft of the penis, usually just below the glans. Several in a row are called a frenum ladder.
It only goes through the skin and is therefore a form of surface piercing.
A straight bar or ring made of implant-grade material is usual.
The basic rules of aftercare apply here too: sterile saline solution, clean hands, don't twist the jewellery. More on the Care and aftercare page.
