Foreskin piercing
explained factually

The foreskin piercing goes through the foreskin, usually at its front edge. It is only possible in uncircumcised men.

What you
should know

The foreskin must still be able to retract freely.

Jewellery

A ring made of implant-grade material is usual.

Risks

Healing
and care

The basic rules of aftercare apply here too: sterile saline solution, clean hands, don't twist the jewellery. More on the Care and aftercare page.

When to see a doctor

  • Redness and swelling keep increasing after the first few days.
  • Pus comes out, or you develop a fever.

I don't do intimate piercings. This page explains what the piercing is. If you want one, choose a studio that specialises in intimate piercings and looks at your anatomy beforehand. The healing time is a guide value, averaged from information given by piercing and tattoo studios. Where the figures come from.
